What this app does
CSV Crosscheck compares a cleaned CSV with its original source. It matches records using one or more key columns and checks whether retained values remain unchanged.
Recommended setup
Use a stable and unique value such as Domain Name, Contact ID, or another record identifier.
Why row numbers are not used
The cleaning process may reorder or remove rows. Matching by a unique key is more reliable.
Status meanings
- Exact Match: All compared values are identical.
- Normalized Match: Values match after enabled normalization.
- Changed: At least one retained value differs.
- Missing from Cleaned: An original record is not present in the cleaned file.
- Extra in Cleaned: A cleaned record is not present in the original file.
- Duplicate Key: More than one record uses the same selected key.
- Invalid Key: The selected key is blank or unusable.
Privacy
All processing happens locally in the browser. Files are not uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere.
