Quick Guide
Welcome to the Quick Guide for Textplate Web App. Here's a breakdown of each key feature to help you navigate and use the app efficiently:
- Add New – Use this button to create a new template. Once saved, the template will appear in the left-hand "Templates" panel for easy access.
- Search Bar – Find your saved templates quickly by typing keywords into the search bar. This filters templates based on the terms you enter.
- Export – Safeguard your templates by exporting them to a JSON file. This allows you to back up your templates locally for future use or in case of data loss.
- Import – Use the import feature to load previously saved templates from a JSON file back into the app.
- Open Template – Simply click on any saved template from the panel to open and start editing or reviewing it.
- Update Text – After editing a template, save your changes by clicking the "Update Text" button to ensure your work is not lost.
- Delete Text – Use this button to permanently delete a selected template. Be cautious, as this action cannot be undone.
- Copy Text – Copy the text content of any template directly to your clipboard for easy pasting elsewhere.
- Text Editor – The built-in text editor is where you can draft and edit your work. All changes are saved locally in your browser's storage. However, please note that clearing your browser cache will erase these drafts.
Pro Tip:
The app is designed to automatically save changes to the currently used JSON file, but we recommend manually exporting your templates as a JSON file regularly to avoid accidental data loss.
